    As a session drummer, the international experience of Amhed Mitchel includes being part of the recording of the Grammy nominated CD featuring Carlos Del Puerto, bass player for over 25 years of the amazing  cuban jazz group   Irakere directed by the great cuban pianist Chucho Valdes, and had the honor to be invited to the closing concert of the Jazz Festival of Tokyo 2004, where he played  with music icons like Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Dave Holland, Dianne Reeves and Leonel Lueke.  Now his current  gigs are , performing with Elmer Ferrer Band  , Hilario Duran ,Jane Bunnett ,  Alexander Brown Quintet   and many others .
